WHO WAS MARTIN LUTHER KING JUNIOR?
Martin Luther King Jr. was a civil rights leader who fought for racial equality in the United States. Born on January 15, 1929, he became famous for using nonviolent protests to challenge segregation and discrimination. He believed in justice for all people, regardless of their skin color.
One of his most famous moments was the “I Have a Dream” speech, delivered in 1963 at the March on Washington. In this speech, he shared his vision of a future where people would be judged by their character, not their race.
